Rustler 4X4’s BL-2s brushless power system ramps up the fun with up to 60% more speed and faster acceleration than comparable brushed power systems. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings, and an internal cooling fan allow Rustler 4X4 to run battery after battery for all-day fun. With no brushes to wear out, the BL-2s 3300 kV is long-lasting and requires virtually no maintenance.

Gray 2.8″ RXT Wheels and Talon EXT Tires
Rustler’s gray 2.8″ RXT wheels provide terrain-conquering ground clearance and a commanding presence. Aggressive Talon™ EXT tires dig into dirt and grass for outstanding 4X4 traction. The EXT’s tire compound provides extra durability on pavement with a unique design that resists “ballooning” at high speeds.
Hex Hardware
Rustler 4X4’s hex-drive hardware provides a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. The black-oxide coating provides a rust resistant high-tech look and feel.
Long-Travel Suspension
Rustler 4X4 has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, ultra-plush suspension travel to swallow up jumps and delivers incredible control. Performance-optimized suspension components provide maximum articulation without binding or interference.
Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks™
Rustler 4X4’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-rings for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. Adjust the ride height and pre-load on the white powder-coated springs with the included spacer clips. Ultra Shocks are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons available.
Innovative Chassis
Rustler 4X4’s modular chassis design allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you have full access for easy service and adjustment.
Rugged Battery Hold-Down
An innovative battery hold-down features a beefed-up latch for solid locking action to keep batteries secure no matter how wild the action gets.
Traxxas High-Current Connector
The patented High-Current Connectors funnel maximum power to the vehicle’s electronics. High-Current Connectors also provide the quickest, safest charge for Traxxas batteries.
Waterproof Receiver Box
Rustler’s waterproof receiver box keeps the receiver safe and dry while still allowing easy access for maintenance. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented water-tight seal for true all-weather fun.
3-Channel Receiver with Fail-Safe Security
In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.
Digital Steering Servo
The Traxxas 2056 steering servo provides powerful steering authority on tough terrain with 80 oz-in of steering muscle. The fully-waterproof servo uses special O-ring seals to keep the fun going even when things get wet.
Dual Bellcrank Steering with Servo Saver
Rustler 4X4’s dual-bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the harshest conditions. An integrated cam-type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision.
Clipless Body
Rustler 4X4 uses a rugged clipless body latching system for secure mounting and easy one-handed removal. The latching system incorporates an internal body cage that greatly strengthens the body for long life. The body comes pre-painted and cut with decals already applied.
Heavy Duty Suspension Arms
Molded from our toughest composite material, Rustler 4X4’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking—even in cold weather! From skate parks to 10-foot ramps, these suspension arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers for non-stop fun behind the wheel.
Tough Reinforced Bumpers
Tough reinforced bumpers protect the chassis against impacts. The specially designed front bumper provides a high approach angle that allows the Rustler to climb up and over obstacles with ease.
Extreme Suspension Components
Rustler 4X4 comes outfitted with the Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit already installed for ultimate strength and durability. The axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Large 32-Pitch Gears
Rustler’s 4X4 driveline is built to handle standard brushless horsepower power and even the extreme Velineon 3s brushless power upgrade down the road. The spur gear features large 32-pitch teeth for total reliability no matter how much power you pour on.
Upgraded Slipper Clutch
Rustler 4X4’s slipper clutch features larger alloy pressure plates and high-temperature aluminum pads for superior power handling. The slipper clutch delivers equal power distribution front to rear for instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four-wheel-drive grip.
Maxx-Duty® Driveshafts
Rustler 4X4’s Maxx-duty driveshafts with beefed-up U-joints are built to handle brushless power without breaking a sweat. Large 6 mm axles key into the included steel wheel hexes for unmatched strength and durability.
Sealed Steel-Gear Differentials
Sealed steel-gear differentials are ready to handle brushless power without costly upgrades. Silicone gaskets and X-ring seals allow the differentials to be tuned for specific running conditions by varying the viscosity of the oil inside them. Rustler 4X4’s modular chassis design makes differential access quick and easy.
