The high-performance variant of the already spectacular Ford Mustang first appeared in 1965. In 1969, the year of production, the car underwent extensive changes, especially the body was lengthened. Although there was no production the following year, unsold examples from 1969 were labeled as 1970 models. To differentiate the car, it received a small front spoiler and two stripes on the hood.
